Dr Kamran Qureshi has published a new article, Fictsearch: What If Cinema Could Be a Research Method?, as part of Palgrave Macmillan’s Humanities campaign, an initiative that showcases the relevance and impact of humanities research in contemporary society.

The article introduces the Fictsearch framework developed in his book Fiction Feature Filmmaking and examines how filmmaking can operate not only as an artistic practice but also as a research methodology. It explores the potential of cinema to generate knowledge, investigate complex questions, and contribute to scholarly inquiry through creative practice.
